On The Day - Stairway to Heaven

Parking and Registration *important*

For Event 2, 'Stairway to Heaven'

  • You will park, register and pick up your race numbers at Holmbridge Church Hall. The Start and Finish will be nearby. Refreshments, results, spot prizes etc will be organised at Holmbridge Church Hall. Please note there will be no children's races this year due to lack of interest. We will only reconsider this decision if we hear from you lovely runners that you want to support this part of the day.

For Event 2, we will be using the Car Park at Holmbridge Church Hall until it is full. We are not anticipating there will be enough cars to cause a parking problem, if people are considerate.

Overflow parking is considerate local parking or on Brownhill Lane. If we are able to arrange more local parking (eg. local fields) for the races then we will inform you, please keep an eye on our Newsletter / Social Media. This would be weather dependent. If you choose to park elsewhere, please ensure you do not inconvenience local residents as this may cause a problem for the viability of future events.

Times (Start times to be confirmed, please check before the day)

    • 14.30 registration for Challenge Walk/Run
    • 15.00  registration for Trail Run
    • 15.00 Challenge Walk / Run sets off
    • 15.50 Close of registration - sorry no exceptions.
    • 16.00 Trail Race sets off

    • after race refreshments and food available. Bring a bit of cash for:
      • Bar
      • Fish and chips
      • Cake by Holmbridge Church
    • 5.45 Results and prizes for the Stairway to Heaven
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    • 17.45 - 19.30 Hall open, goody bag collection, bar, fish and chips, cake, hot drinks, music, chill time! We work out the results and get trophies ready.

    • 19.30pm approx Prize Giving and end of series party (There will be a wide range of spot prizes across the whole field of competition, so if you complete the course, you might win a prize.) Keep checking this website for a list of fabulous prizes that will be on offer.

The Organisers

The Summer Wine Trails are organised by a team of community volunteers from Holme School, Holmbridge Church, and the local running community. Our events are entirely not for profit, and all money goes back to local community organisations.

Race licences and insurance approved / provided by the Association of Running Clubs.

We are part of a wider partnership of races called the South Huddersfield Trail and Road Series. Why not enter the whole series?
